“In your light I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest
where no-one sees you, but
sometimes I do, and
that sight becomes this art.”

father

he knows all the answers
and then
he knows none at all
and then
he knows some of them
and then
you turn into him

generic human

we all have family
friends
fear and hope
desire and anger
lust and laughter

we all crave love
and recognition
and comfort(s)

we all fear death
and loneliness
and loss of loved ones

and yet...

we all believe
in the uniqueness of
our existence

forgetting

the other 5,999,999,999 souls
who inhabit this earth
living the same lives
